Blond haired with blue eyes, this has always seems rather strange to Sarah, with an Italian for her father, and a mother who comes from a family of brown eyed brunettes, with the occasional red head. Especially when one brother was dark haired and dark skinned, and the other came from Holmes lines with brown hair and brown eyes.

Born in 1915 as a last present from her father to her mother before he went off to fight for his beloved adopted country where he died during the Somme.

She has two brothers, Tony (short for Antonio) 5 years older than her, and Lucus, usually known as Luke, 2 years older.

She graduated for Durham university a year ago with a first in German and Italian, and was recruited pretty much instantly into the RRS. That was a deliberate choice, since her grandfather Mycroft had worked for the government and had something to do with Torchwood, and her Great Aunt Sally had worked directly for Torchwood. She\'d been approached by Torchwood, but had soon realised that she\'d be working in her great aunts shadow.

She's a bit of a feminist. Had she been born 30 years earlier she would be a suffragette, and sometimes wishes she were. She wishes the attitude towards women would change and believes that it is still in the dark ages.
