Torchwood Employment Profile

Full Name: Jamie Andrews
Officer Number: FL-925
Be advised, this is a temporary officer number, hence the 'FL' prefix.
Nickname (for social purposes): "Sparky"
Age: 19
Employment Status: Freelancer Programme, Phase 2
Employer Comment: Firstly, Sparky is an amazing kid talent wise - a total natural. He completely aced every single written examination and passed combat training and tests with distinction - highlights include gunning down a posted turret operator blindly and single handedly retrieving and capturing the enemy flag (capture the flag game, see report FL-782), whilst taking out 80% of the opposing team. It's a real sign that the Freelancer programme has good potential with this shining example.
There is a problem however - his mindset. It's become clear to me and his colleagues when working with him that he doesn't really have the right mentality for the job in hand, which is worrying. He is quite timid in some instances and is unlikely to speak up in a group, preferring to listen to others. Those are good character attributes in general, but there is such a thing as being too quiet. That is why I have signed him up for Phase 2, not so much as to gain combat experience (he really doesn't need it), but to gain a strong social profile, which, although others may scoff, is a key attribute in a Torchwood officer.
So, while he is coming to you for first-hand experience, your main priority is to give him confidence in himself - you know, make him feel part of the team, that sort of thing; I'm sure that would really help.
Sparky is one of the five other Freelancer operatives that has been nominated for full employment (the others that have not been nominated or lose this will remain as Freelancers), and his social profile is one of the things the committee will keep a sharp eye on when examining him in the 'traditional' way. I hope you can do your utmost for him to achieve this goal. Thanks.
